
Teenage sensation from Canada, Yuvraj Samra came out all guns blazing as he smashed a terrific century against New Zealand in Chennai. This was his maiden T20I century and he became the youngest batter to score a century in T20 World Cups. It was against a quality New Zealand bowling attack and one of the most memorable centuries. This is also the second century of this edition of WT20.
After reaching the milestone he shifted gears quickly as he smashed boundaries for fun. Yuvraj Samra then completed his century as he helped Canada cross 150 runs at the end of 17th over out of which 102 runs belonged to him. After this knock Yuvraj Samra is now the first from an Associate nation to score a hundred at the T20 World Cup going past Aaron Jones 94 against Canada in 2024. He also became the first batter from an associate team to score a century in WT20.

1. Yuvraj Samra – 110 of 65 balls vs New Zealand
Yuvraj Samra now holds the record for highest score by an Associate batter in T20 World Cups. His century against New Zealand was breathtaking. Yuvraj Samra had smashed nine fours and 6 sixes in this knock and he completed his milestone with a boundary off Kyle Jamieson. He reached his century in just 58 balls and it was a memorable moment for the youngster.
Yuvraj completed his half century in 36 balls and at 19 years and 141 days he became the youngest batter to score a WT20 fifty and he also became the youngest batter to score a century in WT20 going past Paul Stirling. However, his knock ended up in a losing cause as New Zealand chased down the target of 173 within 16 overs.
2. Aaron Jones – 94 of 40 balls vs Canada, 2024
Aaron Jones scored a stunning 94 against Canada in the opening match of the 2024 WT20 which helped USA chase down a huge target posted by Canada. It was the first game of the tournament and Canada had put up 194/5 while batting first. It was an above par total on a slightly tricky surface.
USA lost their first wicket for a duck and they were in all sorts of trouble. Aaron Jones walked in when USA were 42/2 in 6.3 overs and further required more than 150 runs in the last 13.3 overs. Aaron Jones smashed a brilliant 94 of just 40 balls to help USA chase down the target with two overs spare. His innings had ten sixes and 4 fours.
3. George Munsey – 84 of 54 balls vs Italy, 2026
In the 2026 WT20, Scotland had lost their opening match to the West Indies and in the next game against Italy they were batting first. George Munsey put up a century partnership with Jones as Scotland had a 126-run partnership for the first wicket and the platform was set.
George Munsey scored 84 runs of just 54 balls and his knock had 13 fours and two sixes and he scored at a strike rate of 155. His innings helped Scotland post a total of 207 against Italy and they won the match by a massive 73 run margin. Munsey was the player of the match.
4. Ben Manenti – 60 of 25 balls vs England
Ben Manenti smashed a terrific half century against England while playing for Italy in the 2026 WT20. England were batting first against Italy and scored 202 runs in the first innings to set a huge target for Italy. It was a must win game for both sides. Chasing a target of 202, Italy lost Mosca and Smuts cheaply as Jofra Archer struck twice.
Italy regrouped and consolidated but they were always behind the rate. Ben Manenti walked in when Italy were 22/3 and he played a terrific counter attacking knock. He smashed 60 runs of just 25 balls which included 4 fours and 6 sixes as Italy came close but in the end they lost the match by 24 runs.
