How can Nepal qualify for Super 8 in T20 World Cup 2026?

Nepal is placed in Group C of the T20 World Cup 2026 Group Stage along with the West Indies, Scotland, England, and Italy. 

The team has already played a game against one of the strongest teams in Group C, England, and has remaining matches against Italy, the West Indies, and Scotland. The team needs to finish in the top 2 of Group C to qualify for the Super 8.

Here are two scenarios where we have explained how Nepal can qualify for the Super 8 

Scenario 1 - If Nepal wins all 3 remaining matches

If Nepal wins all of their remaining matches against Italy, the West Indies, and Scotland, they will have 6 total points. This guarantees their qualification in Super 8.

Scenario 2 - If Nepal wins 2 matches

Then the qualification depends on:

  • The other four teams are beating each other.

  • Multiple teams ending with 4 points

  • Net Run Rate (NRR)

Example:

  • England beats Nepal but loses 2 other matches

  • West Indies, Italy, and Scotland defeat each other in mixed results

Then 4 points could still be enough for the top 2 based on NRR.
