RR batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi revealed the meaning behind his ‘A’ celebration after hitting his third fifty of the season. Notably, the Rajasthan Royals were up against the Lucknow Super Giants in their last home game of the season at SMS Stadium, Jaipur on Tuesday, May 19. The Royals defeated their guests for the day by a margin of seven wickets and moved up to the fourth spot, and a game closer to their playoff berth.
Sooryavanshi posted a remarkable 93-run knock against the Rishabh Pant-led side off just 38 deliveries in their chase of 221 runs. The 15-year-old hit seven boundaries and 10 maximums and put up an absolute batting carnage. Earlier during his knock, the young batter celebrated his fifty with an ‘A’ celebration, and while nobody could decode the meaning behind it, the cricketer himself provided the clarity in the post-match presentation.

On being asked the meaning behind the same, the young lad said that it really didn’t have any meaning and he did the same just to try different things every time. “I don’t know. I just do something new every match. I don’t really plan it. There’s no meaning behind it. Even the celebration I did in the last match had no meaning. I just keep trying new things,” Sooryavanshi said.

The Bihar cricketer also won the Player of the Match award, his third of the season, and reflected on his brilliant knock. He said, “I was just thinking because I was sitting outside during the bowling innings and the wicket looked good. I was thinking that today I shouldn’t rush too much at the start, I should take some time and if I bat for a longer period, it’s going to help the batter at the other end as well.”
