Appears as the tournament that began on a thrilling note might just end up that way. Yesterday was the second last contest of the IPL and what a mega game IPL served fans all over the world. Didn’t it? Vaibhav Sooryavanshi once again played an electrifying innings and bolstered the hopes of his Rajasthan Royals side, looking hopefully to win the contest against Gujarat Titans in a must win clash, but unfortunately wasn’t able to do so. He scored 96 of his team’s 214 runs and it was a cracker of a knock one that inspired and entertained measure. But ultimately, they can only be one winner in cricket and the victory rather deservingly belong to Gujarat Titans whose captain struck a brilliant century. Shubman Gill led by an example, and solidified the hopes and the chances of Gujarat Titans. So, we had two great innings on both hands. On the one hand, there was Vaibhav with his 96 and on the other. It was Shubman Gill with a cracking 104.

However, despite defeat coming Rajasthan Royals’ way, their captain Riyan Parag put up a brave face in the post match media interaction on ground and had great words of praise on his young batting opener. Of course, that man was none other than Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. How got might he have felt? That’s something only Parag can understand and fans can borderline fathom. Isn’t it?

But what was Supreme beautiful and inspiring to see the great words that he reserved to appreciate and acknowledge the effort of the daring left hand of the order?

When asked by Mr. Ravi Shastri about Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s contribution, Parag said “ Vaibhav has been.. I think.. I can’t really put it in words. There’s one way where you just go and slog- a lot of batters slog their way and scored lots of runs. But that’s not the case with Vaibhav. It’s not blind slogging. It’s just not slogging. He calculates, he assess his situations. He does everything possible. I just don’t know how he does it. I just can’t figure out how. But hopefully he keeps doing that. And can win the team second championship.”

Now, what was inspiring here to see was that the RR Captain may have been gutted by the loss himself that he had to endure but was out there and shouldering full support towards a great batter in the works, and someone so young, and yet so capable in the form of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. Parag also hoped that may there be a day soon where the left hander can go in represent the Indian team and do so well for it.
