The Indian team is all set to play against England in the most-anticipated semi final of the T20 World Cup at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Both India and England are coming into this game with the memories of 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia, where Jos Buttler-led England team managed to beat India convincingly. However, since then, both teams have changed quite a bit - and it will be interesting to see that which team is able to absorb pressure better and win the most important clash.

Speaking about the Indian team, the team is struggling with the top order and have already tried a few chop and changes. The men-in-blue started off their campaign with Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan, then changed it to Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson, then changed it again to Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma.

With this all-important clash, the Indian team need clarity and also exact measures on which they would expect the batters to perform. On this, former Head Coach and current commentator, Ravi Shastri said that he would play Ishan Kishan along with Sanju Samson at the top of the order, and either Rinku Singh as finisher or Abhishek Sharma at number 3.

“Unless the team management realises that, mentally he's not there. If mentally, his mindset has taken a beating, it's for them to judge from the outside, in conversations with him, just seeing the way he's batting in the nets," he said.

“If that's the case, then and only then will I think of putting Ishan Kishan up the order, and then probably Rinku Singh bringing him, at the bottom. That could be the only change, but I would still persist with him because last time India played England, he had a terrific series against them,” he further said.

At last, he ended up praising Abhishek Sharma and said that he would give him another game, especially because the game is played at the Wankhede and he has performed well at the venue.

“I won't take that away at the Wankhede. He's done well in the past. He's got some big hundreds there and very quick hundreds. I'll persist with him because there's enough firepower in that batting," he concluded.
