
India Under 19 beat England U19 by 100 runs in the Final of the ICC Men’s Under 19 World Cup Final 2026. This is their sixth U19 title and under the captaincy of Ayush Mhatre they have delivered a terrific campaign going unbeaten in the tournament and clinching the title. India Under 19 opted to bat first and lost the early wicket of Aaron George. But Vaibhav Suryavanshi was in full flow and along with Ayush Mhatre stitched up a massive partnership. India Under 19 were scoring at an extremely quick pace. Suryavanshi completed his half century and soon captain Ayush Mhatre also went past the milestone. Ayush was dismissed for 53 of 51 and India Under 19 lost the second wicket at 162/2 in 19 overs. They were already well ahead of the game.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi completed a 55-ball century and teed off as he smashed a further 75 runs of just 25 balls. Vaibhav smashed 15 sixes and 15 fours in a knock of 175 runs of just 80 balls. He was dismissed by Lumsden but he had already ensured India had one hands on the title. The score when Vaibhav departed was 251/3 in 25.3 overs and India Under 19 were almost going at 10 runs per over till, he was at the crease. His wicket brought some respite for England Under 19.
It was a significantly better second half for England Under 19 as they picked up a few wickets but India Under posted 411/9 in the first innings. It was a massive score and almost a bridge too far for England. In the chase, England Under 19 lost their opener Moores as they were 19/1 but the inform Ben Mayes along with Dawkins kept going and England Under 19 started well. Mayes was dismissed as England lost the second wicket with 93 runs on the board.
Thomas Rew played a good cameo but it was too little as he was dismissed for 35. Dawkins fell for 66 and from there England Under 19 collapsed to 177/7. The game was over but England Under 19 kept going after it and Falconer smashed a terrific century but unfortunately he did not get much support. England Under 19 were bowled out for 310 as India Under 19 won the match and sealed the title. Vaibhav Suryavanshi was the player of the match for his terrific knock of 175.
