Ishan Kishan Extends Support To Students Following Shubman Gill's Statement
Not long after Gill made his statement, Ishan Kishan, the wicketkeeper-batter for India, also weighed in on the ongoing student protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The 28-year-old became the second active Indian men's cricketer to speak out on this important issue. In an Instagram story, Kishan shared his worries for the students and their families who are facing uncertainty due to the NEET paper leak controversy.
He expressed his hope for a swift resolution, emphasizing that every student deserves fairness and the opportunity to move forward. As it stands, Gill and Kishan are the only two active Indian cricketers who have publicly addressed this matter.
On another note, Kishan is currently part of India's T20I squad in Zimbabwe. He contributed 35 runs off 24 balls during India's seven-wicket victory over Zimbabwe in the first T20I at Harare Sports Club.
