India has produced many superstars over the years who have excelled in multiple formats of the game. In fact, India is the most successful country when it comes to the ICC Men's U19 World Cup having won five titles in nine final appearances and are eyeing a sixth title against England today.
Let us take a look at the list of Indian players who have scored a 100 in ICC Men's U19 Cricket World Cup.
1. Unmukt Chand – 2012 vs Australia
Unmukt Chand was the first Indian ever to score a century in the final of the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup. He was India’s captain during that edition and led his side from the front with a title winning knock against Australia. He scored an unbeaten 111 and helped his side chase down a target of 225 and won the game by six wickets with 14 balls to spare.
2. Manjot Kalra – 2018 vs Australia
The second Indian century in an ICC U19 final also came against the boys from down under in 2018. Manjot Kalra came out to open with Prithvi Shaw and scored 101 not out in 102 balls. His innings included eight fours and three sixes. Kalra’s century fuelled India’s historic win over Australia as they won the game by eight wickets and over 11 overs to spare.
3. Vaibhav Suryavanshi – 2026 vs England
Vaibhav Suryavanshi is the latest addition to this list. It took eight years for an Indian to score a century in the final of the U19 World Cup, but Suryavanshi’s century is totally worth the wait. He showed no mercy to the bowlers and went behind every bowler. He has now become the youngest player to score the fastest hundred in an ICC 50 over final.
