Ian Bell appointed as Assistant Coach of Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL 2026
Bell brings in a world of experience under his belt for the Delhi Capitals. He has been a part of many successful coaching units across the globe and will be hopeful to recreate his magic with the Capitals. This will be Bell’s first IPL assignment and it remains to be seen how impactful he is for the JSW owned outfit.
He was a seasoned performer when it came to high performance situations and will look to inculcate that in his player at Delhi Capitals. The 43-year-old is known for his technical superiority in terms of batting and his ability to nurture young guns. Bell will team up with head coach Hemang Badani, team mentor Kevin Pietersen, bowling coach Munaf Patel and his fellow assistant coach Matthew Mott.
The former cricketer has mentored multiple age group teams for England before being a part of Sri Lanka and New Zealand’s coaching staff. His experience and vast experience will come in very handy for the Delhi Capitals this season and he could very well be the missing piece of the puzzle for them.
