Virat Kohli scores 28, stellar middle-order performance pushes RCB to 250

The former skipper who put on a commendable show of 69* off 38 in the season opener against the SunRisers Hyderabad, could manage to score only 28 runs against the Yellow Army. However, his fellow opener Philip Salt and the rest of the middle order’s combined efforts helped Bengaluru put up the highest total of IPL 2026.

While Salt came up with a 30-ball 46, Devdutt Padikkal dropped a half century. Apart from them, skipper Rajat Patidar played a crucial knock of 48* off 19, but Tim David remained the show’s stopper with his brilliant 70* run knock off 25 balls. David came up with three fours and a total of eight towering sixes to reach the mark and help the team put on a 251-run target for their rivals.
