They are an iconic outfit in the world of the IPL. They are more than just famous team. They are a super successful team. They have won 5 IPL trophies on different occasions and some Great legends have gone onto represent the Bright Golden yellow colours of Chennai.

Now, there is so much more to the Chennai Super Kings that one would ever be able to fathom. They are perhaps a cult, and it won’t be wrong at all in calling them that. What do you reckon now most importantly in this part of the IPL, where it is all daggers, drawn and teams are competing in every possible way to get better than their opinion, Chennai Super Kings find themselves staring at what their Captain also think is a rather uncomplicated situation.

After losing an important game, which they really should have won that two against the bottom ranked Lucknow super Giants team, Chennai emerged on the losing side, going down to Lucknow by a big margin of seven wickets. First, they were done by the supreme Fast bowling of Akash Singh, who took three wickets and so doing it up the entire top of Chennai all on his own, and later on their bowling, was found wanting in front of the dominant mega and punishing opening batting stance of Mitch Marsh and Josh Inglis.

A lost chance?

However, once done is done and cannot be redone or reverted back to. New beginnings must be made and a major fightback is what is needed. And the too, right now. For the time is too less and there’s much pressure.

In the aftermath of the defeat to Lucknow on May 15, 🏏 Captain of Chennai Ruturaj Gaikwad said the following - “ What lies ahead of us is a Radha uncomplicated situation. It’s simple. We have to win all the games ahead.”

The road recently

On May 2, they won the contest against the Mumbai Indians and then afterwards, on May 7, they won the contest against the Kolkata Knight Riders. But recently, they have been found wanting again.

To lose an IPL contes is one thing, but then to lose a game to Lucknow, who have already been troubled enough to be the bottom dwellers may come to haunt Chennai at a latter stage as the two points that should ideally have been pouched against LSG last evening have now been lost.

Which only means that in the games that lie ahead- Chennai have to play much like their name- as SuperKings and dominate their opposition in the it bid to reach the final stages of the ongoing competition.
