Hasan Ali gave a big scare to Pakistan fans after he got injured during the second Test match against Bangladesh in Sylhet. The fast bowler had to leave the field on a stretcher after falling badly while trying to take a catch. The incident happened on the first day of the match and players looked very worried after seeing him in pain.

Hasan Ali Gets Injured While Taking Catch

The injury happened in Hasan Ali’s very first over of the match. Bangladesh opener Tanzid Hasan played a shot back towards the bowler and Hasan tried to dive forward to catch the ball. But while landing, he fell awkwardly near the pitch.

After the fall, Hasan stayed on the ground for some time and the Pakistan team physio quickly came onto the field to check him. Later, a stretcher was brought and Hasan was taken off the ground. Salman Agha completed the remaining balls of the over.

After the incident, Pakistan’s fast bowling coach Umar Gul and head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed were seen in serious discussions. It is assumed that Hasan was in the medical room in the stadium, and the later updates are yet to come.

Now it's highly likely that Hasan Ali will rule out of the match, and it's a head injury, so the match referee is likely to give the replacement option to the Pakistan team. If they allow the replacement, then Amad Butt is likely to make his Test debut.

At the time of writing, Bangladesh is on 101 runs with the loss of 3 wickets in 26 overs. Mohammad Abbas set Mahmudul Hasan Joy on a duck and Tanzid Hasan on 26 runs. Khurram Shahzad took the wicket of Mominul Haque on 22 runs.
