KL Rahul had made up his mind to leave the franchise after some visible disagreements with the LSG owner, Sanjiv Goenka, following the side’s 10-wicket loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2024 season. The Delhi Capitals had picked up KL Rahul in the IPL 2025 auction, and he played some match-winning knocks, including a fine knock against the Lucknow Super Giants, in which he finished the match with a six.
