The Delhi Capitals have shared a positive update on the injury status of bowler Lungi Ngidi’s head injury. Notably, Ngidi suffered a nasty fall on his head while attempting a catch during the clash against Punjab Kings. The incident took place during the high-scoring affair between the Capitals and the Kings, wherein the latter scripted history by recording the highest-ever successful run chase in T20 cricket history.
Nigidi, after falling to his head, stayed on the ground for a while, before being assisted by medical staff. Since, it seemed that he wasn’t able to interact with the doctors, and hence, as a precautionary step, was taken to the hospital immediately for necessary tests. As per a few sources, the Delhi Traffic Police also set up a green corridor to enable a swift transfer of the ambulance carrying the speedster from Kotla to a hospital in Rajendra Nagar in just 11 minutes. Considering how serious things turned out to be during the game, fans and fraternity wished for the South African bowler, and waited for the latest update by the franchise.
