The Lucknow Super Giants opener Mitchell Marsh has been flawless today at Jaipur with some fine cricketing shots. He partnered along with Josh Inglis to put up a sensational opening partnership for the Lucknow Super Giants. Marsh has exhibited his power-hitting along with some beautiful drives. He scored a brilliant knock of 96 off just 57 balls, including 11 fours and 5 sixes and he has once again stepped up for his side, scoring his second half century of the season.
Mitchell Marsh wasn’t at his best in the initial phases but he has announced his comeback in style with some stunning knocks in the latter half of the tournament. His century against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru was probably the best of them all as that proved to be the difference in the game. Mitchell Marsh would have had a bit more freedom to go about his business as Josh Inglis has taken the pressure off his shoulders.

Josh Inglis and Mitchell Marsh power LSG to 220 despite late fightback from RR
The Rajasthan Royals stand-in skipper, Yashasvi Jaiswal won the toss and elected to bowl first. LSG have already been eliminated from the playoff race and they have very little to fight for whereas the Royals will need two wins in their remaining two games. Josh Inglis and Mitchell Marsh put up a magnificent partnership of 109 runs and that laid the foundation for a huge score. Despite wickets falling at the other end, Mitchell Marsh has held his ground and he has kept on going with authority and he is playing some sensible cricket as well.
Yash Raj Punja has picked up two big wickets in the form of Josh Inglis and Nicholas Pooran. He has been their best bowler of the day and his leg-spinner to get rid of Inglis was an absolute beauty to watch. He deceived Nicholas Pooran with a wrong’un and the wicket was completed with a safe catch from Donovan Ferreira.
Their usual star bowler Jofra Archer hasn’t delivered today and he has been hit for runs as well. Their decision to give Dasun Shanaka an over hasn’t panned out well as he gave away 10 runs as well. Nothing seems to be working at the moment for Royals even though they might have felt like they have slightly controlled the leakage of runs in the middle. Rishabh Pant scored a decent cameo along with Marsh and it helped LSG to cross the 200-run mark.
