Sahibazada Farhan is clearly leading the race with 220 runs as he went past Aiden Markram after scoring the century against Namibia. There is still the Super 8 stages left along with knockout games so there is plenty of time for everyone to catch up. The highest ever runs amassed in a single edition of the WT20 belongs to Virat Kohli who amassed 319 runs in the 2014 edition.

In the previous WT20, Afghanistan batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz ended as the leading run scorer with 281 runs and helped Afghanistan reach the semi-finals. There is a high probability that someone might go past the 319-record set by Virat Kohli given the conditions are batting friendly. Most players in the list are openers while Kusal Mendis and DIpendra Singh Airee are the only middle order batters. Ishan Kishan and Kusal Mendis still have one match left in the group stage so they might be eyeing to get a big score and go to the top.
