After a devastating defeat against the Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati where their batting order completely failed to make a big score and Jamie Overton, the young player made 43 runs in 36 to make the team a score of 127 runs in twenty overs, but then got dismissed to a run out. The match also saw the 15- year old prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi making the third fastest fifty in IPL history.

The defeat broke every CSK fan’s heart on Sunday last week, however, now they are in for good news as their most loved captain, MS Dhoni was seen practising in the nets ahead of the team’s match against RCB.

MS Dhoni, was ruled out for the IPL for 15 days after he picked up a calf injury just when the tournament was about to begin. He did not travel with the team to Guwahati because of the same. This news had also left the Bengaluru fans in waiting as RCB would only face CSK in the playoffs after their match on April 5, in the Group Stage. CSK vs RCB is the match every southern fan waits to see and this development had left everyone in despair as they would not be able to see their favourites Kohli and Dhoni playing against each other if either of the teams didn't qualify for the playoffs.

Their prayers have been heard, as during the match of LSG against DC, a clip was played where MS Dhoni was seen practising batting.

CSK’s disappointing start to the tournament

CSK’s beginning in the tournament has been disappointing and it would be safe to say that they still need Dhoni’s guidance before he transitions from the team. CSK fans are hopeful that Dhoni will play against RCB on April 5, but the final decision would only be made on the evening before the match commences based on how severe the injury is.

Meanwhile, in the LSG vs DC match, the Lucknow batting order has completely failed to score runs and Shahbaz Ahmed has been called as the Impact Sub, replacing Mitchell Marsh. Rishabh Pant opened the batting for his team along with Marsh instead of the Marsh-Markram partnership everyone was thinking.
