Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to continue his monstrous form after IPL in his maiden Indian Team Call

Viabhav Sooryavanshi’s inclusion in the India A side at the age of 15 was no surprise, as many critics believed he would make the way for the senior team with his stellar form and already exceptional international exposure. He had earned a maiden India A call-up for the upcoming one-day tri-series against Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A in Sri Lanka that would be led by Tilak Verma.

When BCCI was asked about his inclusion, the officials said that they didn’t want to rush Vaibhav directly into the senior team, but they wanted to watch his progress slowly into the team. IPL chairman Arun Dhumal also expressed the same, as he praised the RR batter, labelling him a ‘special talent’.

"I feel the BCCI and the franchise would need to handhold him in terms of showing him the right way so that his temperament stays intact. Because sport is not only about physical skill, it is also about mental toughness. And definitely, we will do our bit to make sure that the kind of skill set he has allows him to perform for India for many, many years to come,” he said.

If Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s performance for India reaches sky-high he might get included for the T20I against Ireland this year.
