Germany have announce their squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Managed by Julian Nagelsmann, the squad features the highly anticipated return of 40-year-old goalkeeper Manuel Neuer as the expected starter, captained by Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich. Head Coach made difficult tactical cuts, omitting veterans like Niclas Füllkrug and Robert Andrich. The midfield boasts massive creative power with Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz, while relying on the defensive leadership of Antonio Rüdiger and Jonathan Tah to anchor the backline.

Although being a giant name in the World Cup Circuit, Germany has failed to win any World Cup since 2014, as their performance too went downhill, with a world ranking of 10. Nagelsmann’s team have faced straight group stage eliminations from Russia and Qatar back to back. Germany will face Ivory Coast, Ecuador and newcomer Curacao in Group E and are aiming for their fifth World Cup title. The team will also play warm-up matches against Finland in Mainz on May 31, then the USA in Chicago on June 6.
