Netizens couldn’t help themselves but reacted to the bowling prowess of GT bowlers against Punjab Kings in IPL 2026. The teams were up against each other in the 46th league-stage game at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, May 3. The game saw home skipper Shubman Gill win the toss and invited the rivals to put the score on the board first. The Punjab Kings, who were coming off their first loss of the season, were aiming for a rebound. However, the reality didn’t unfold as their plans and the IPL 2025 finalists had to suffer a batting collapse.
In the first over itself, Mohammed Siraj dismissed Priyansh Arya, off a debutant Nishant Sindhu catch, followed by Cooper Connolly dismissal. Prabhsimran Singh was the next to depart off a Kagiso Rabada delivery, after being caught out by Manav Suthar. Jason Holder then picked two wickets to send Nehal Wadhera and skipper Shreyas Iyer back to the pavilion off a six-ball duck and a 21-ball 19 runs knock. The Punjab-based franchise was reduced to 35-3 within the powerplay and 47-5 within nine overs.

I had told it before also.. telling it again as well, a fully blind slogging team cannot become the champion.. so PBKS can't #GTvsPBKS

PBKS is average. Get their top 2/3 or top 3 early and they'll lose 90% of the games. #GTvsPBKS
