The Lucknow Super Giants pacer, Arjun Tendulkar, had raised his concern on his lack of game time while playing for the Mumbai Indians. He had only played five matches for the Mumbai Indians despite being picked for both the 2023 season and the 2024 season. He picked up 3 wickets for the franchise at an economy rate of 9 and did a decent job with his ability to generate movement with the new ball.

From Mumbai Benches to New Beginnings: Arjun Seeks Consistent Game Time

In his interview on Shubhankar Mishra's podcast, Arjun Tendulkar opened up about his game time and the lack of opportunities presented to him."You played a few matches for the Mumbai Indians (MI) and bowled well. Your swing was good, so did you feel you should have gotten more opportunities?" Shubhankar Mishra asked. He replied, "Who doesn't feel that? No one wants to sit on the bench. But we want to work hard and perform when we get a chance." He is a promising left-arm pacer, who bowls brilliantly well with the new ball. But he was presented with less opportunities in both the Mumbai Indians and at the Mumbai domestic team.

He later was picked up by the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2026 auction for INR 30 lakh. He also changed his domestic team from Mumbai to Goa, in search of more opportunities. Arjun Tendulkar is a player that aspires to rise through the ranks in Indian cricket and he seems willing to take any adequate measures to be successful in the sport in which his father, Sachin Tendulkar, is considered as “The God”.
