Apparently, what makes this rather interesting is that the said cricketing development is a joint initiative between the widely known Pakistan Cricket Board aka the PCB and the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation, also known as the SACF. A strategic and significant move, if one could put it like that, the development of the new cricket facility in Saudi Arabia is all set to foster a good culture of the growing sport that is cricket, among the widely watched sports in the country (alongside football).
What’s known at the moment is that a modern, state-of-the-art cricket stadium shall be built in the national capital of Saudi Arabia as part of the joint collaborative efforts between the boards across the two countries.
And in lines with the same, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially signed a strategic agreement with the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF). Now, make no mistake for this is pretty much a landmark agreement that was signed in Riyadh by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and SACF Chairman Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Mohammad Al Saud.
Furthermore, it is needless to say that the stadium shall be built entirely in accordance with International Cricket Council (ICC) regulations to host major global and regional tournaments.
Whether it comes to diverse aspects such as venue planning, technical expertise or infrastructure development, both the cricket boards shall be working closely with one other for the development of the same!
Furthermore, the cricket stadium decision aligns or blends perfectly well with the Saudi government’s vision to realise the Vision 30, which is a key sporting vision taken on by the country to further promote and enhance a culture of sports in the nation.
