Now who can argue with a great of the game, someone who is as liked as he is admired for presiding over a checkered career that did a lot for his team, his country even if that name is that of Inzamam-ul-Haq? This, in plain simple words, is the current underlying query besieging the mind of the inveterate cricket lover where it comes to the rather big (or should one say, shocking) statement that has been levelled by the great former Pakistani batter, someone who amassed, lest it is forgotten, nearly 21,000 international runs.
Having said that, what is it that Inzimam ul Haq shared in the current context of the Indo Pak game that is making much news?
To put it simply, here is what the famed and lanky right handed batter shared in the wake of the much debated T20 World Cup clash:
“Pakistan will beat India in the T20 World Cup, In Sha Allah".

For the record, let us get a simple context and some understanding.
As far as the current or present day record between the two teams stands in the briefest former of the game, then it’s quite evident which team has its nose ahead of the other.
In purely T20 internationals, India has won 13 of the 16 contests against Pakistan with the latter managing to win just three games.
Talk of pure dominance. Talk of pure determination and that winning edge and you get to see which team has its nose ahead of the other.
But still, at the end of the day, one must contend with the fact that whilst records merit some introspection and a serious one at that, there’s something called cricketing action in the game’s most uncertain format.
And that format, clearly speaking, is T20 cricket.
Cricket, especially in the sport’s most unpredictable format must be noted, is a game of uncertainty. And a true fact is just anything can happen over the course of the 5-6 hours in that brief period.
Pakistan, despite not holding the edge, can upset India. Let that not be misunderstood or undermined.

Despite being a team that has been able to topple India in T20 World Cup contests on not more than three occasions, Pakistan can still defeat India. Make no mistake about the fact that they almost did the last time around in the World Cup contest in Melbourne, Australia where had it not been for Virat Kohli’s burst of excellence, Pakistan nearly ran down India.
