Punjab Kings spinner Yuzvendra Chahal landed himself in hot waters after he was caught vaping on flight in a viral video. An X user alleged that the star bowler was seen vaping on a flight in a vlog uploaded by his teammate Arshdeep Singh. As per the claims, the Punjab Kings were travelling from Ahmedabad to Hyderabad when the alleged controversial incident took place. The user shared clips and screenshots from Singh’s YouTube video, claiming that the senior bowler was vaping on the flight.
Not only this, but he also claimed that the original vlog was edited and shortened, with Chahal’s portions being cropped out. Needless to say, the allegations quickly spread on social media as wildfire, sparking discussions among fans and online users. Moreover, the same user later posted another tweet suggesting that Chahal sneaked a vape into the aircraft, which further escalated debates among cricket fans.

While things have heated up on social media, Arshdeep Singh, Chahal and even the franchise have maintained their silence on the same. Thus far, there is no official confirmation from either of them regarding the authenticity of the same. However, despite their silence, the controversy has generated significant online attention, once again putting the Indian bowler in headlines. Recently, a social media influencer claimed that the 35-year-old slid into her Instagram DMs.
Talking about his performance this season, Chahal has picked eight wickets in 10 games with the best bowling figures of 3/30. He has recorded an average of 35.75, and economy of 9.53.
