Perth Scorchers beat Sydney Sixers to clinch the BBL 2025/26 title, Checkout BBL winners list

Perth Scorchers beat Sydney Sixers by six wickets in the Final of the BBL 2025/26 to win yet another title. These are the two most successful teams in the history of BBL and Perth Scorchers won their sixth BBL title today. Sydney Sixers have three of them but it was once again Perth who proved to be champions and continue to dominate this league. Perth Scorchers are a powerhouse and they have been the best team by far this tournament and on the biggest stage they proved once again. It has been a fascinating season and it is a well-deserved championship win for Perth.

Sydney Sixers were batting first and were bowled out for just 132. It was a below par total and Perth Scorchers cruised to the total with ease. Sydney were rocked back early by Jhye Richardson who picked up three wickets. The pacers from Perth Scorchers were excellent as Payne picked up three wickets and Hardie picked up the most important wicket of Steve Smith. No batter from Sixers set up could get going as three players scored 24 which was the highest score but no one could really convert the start into a big one.

In reply, chasing a modest total Perth Scorchers were brutal with the openers Mitch Marsh and Finn Allen taking the bowlers to the cleaners. Perth raced away to 80 runs in just eight overs and killed the chase completely. The first wicket fell at 85 when Marsh got dismissed but It was too little too late. Scorchers did lose a few more wickets but the game was virtually done by them. Josh Inglis and Cooper Connolly were the batters at the crease as Perth won the match and the title in front of a packed crowd.
