The Royal Challengers Bengaluru have suffered a setback before the game against the Gujarat Titans as Phil Salt will miss the game due to injury, and Jacob Bethell will come in his place. There has been no official confirmation regarding the kind of injury that Salt has suffered, but it is hopefully nothing big. The RCB fans will be facing mixed emotions at the moment as they celebrated the innings of Phil Salt against Mumbai a couple of nights ago. However, they also wanted to see Jacob Bethell get a chance, and they will be anticipating the batting of the young Englishman.  

Rajat Patidar, the RCB skipper, had won the toss and elected to field first against the Gujarat Titans at the Chinnaswamy. RCB will be coming off a disappointing game against the Delhi Capitals, as they didn’t have the best of batting performances. They managed to tighten things with the bowl, but David Miller spoiled the party in the last over. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been simply exceptional in the last couple of games, as he is competing for the Orange Cap, and he has an excellent economy rate as well. Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya have been really clinical as the spin bowling duo, as they have controlled the middle overs really well. The arrival of Rasikh Salam has been good as he has used his variations pretty well and has proved to be a worthy addition to the squad. The only issue will be around their 6th bowling option,n as Romario Shepherd hasn’t been as good this season. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharshan will be hoping to get a quick start off the blocks in the power play.

All eyes will be on Jacob Bethell in the 2nd innings, gs as he has been sitting out for a long time and he has attracted criticism for it as well. Kevin Pietersen backed Bethell to stay in the RCB dugout and to learn even more. The chance that he has been waiting for has finally come, and he will be hopeful that he can make his mark in the tournament. Jacob Bethell could also chip in with a couple of overs of spin in the middle overs. The Rajat Patidar and his men are all set to take on the Gujarat Titans.
