The Punjab Kings have won yet again and their unbeaten streak is seeming to be endless at this point. This match showed pure domination from the Punjab Kings especially with the bat. Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly carried out a demolition job against the LSG bowlers and they were struggling to contain them. The LSG batters tried to repeat the feat in the 2nd innings but fell short by a decent margin. Punjab Kings won the match by 54 runs and are at the top of the table.

The Shreyas Iyer-led side has been the only unbeaten team in the tournament so far. Punjab Kings are just going about their business and they haven’t put a foot wrong. The players are high on confidence and they will be going into the coming games with their head held high.

The Punjab Kings kicked off their campaign against the Gujarat Titans and won the game by 3 wickets. The bowling of the Punjab Kings was spot on but there were a few issues around the batting which was nullified by Cooper Connolly. They proceeded to win against the Chennai Super Kings as well and they chased down 209 within 19 overs. The game against the Kolkata Knight Riders was abandoned despite the spectacular opening spell by Xavier Bartlett. In the next two games, the Punjab Kings chased with authority as no matter what the total and their skipper Shreyas Iyer fought till the very end to take his side across the line.

In the game against the Lucknow Super Giants, it was more like a one way traffic in the 1st innings. Despite the early setback of the dismissal of Prabhsimran Singh, Cooper Connolly and Priyansh Arya stitched together a magnificent partnership of 182 runs. With some fine cameos in the back end of the innings, the Punjab Kings put up a total of 254 after the 20 overs. The Lucknow Super Giants got off to a flying start with 61 runs in the power play and no wickets lost. Rishabh Pant and Aiden Markram put up valiant efforts but it didn’t prove to be enough as they fell short by 54 runs.

The Punjab kings have won their 5th game of the season from the 6 matches with one game being abandoned. There are no words to express the dominance asserted by Punjab Kings and no team has proven to be worthy enough yet to stop the Kings from their title charge.
