Truth be told, there is just no end to the kind of zeal and enterprise with which a standard New Zealand cricketer operates. Typically speaking, he will remain under the radar and perhaps gladly so, but will keep churning out peformances that impress one and all and a great case of the same applies to a certain Rachin Ravindra.

Just when you thought that after impressing one and one across formats for the BlackCaps, what more could a certain Rachin Ravindra possibly do, here he is impressing one and all in the epic and rapidly rising Major League Cricket. But how so? Well, the New Zealand cricketer has recently delivered an amazing and matchwinning performance for the growing Washington Freedom team against the Mumbai New York side.

Not only did he score a brilliant knock of 60 runs that came off just 35 odd deliveries in the second innings of the recently completed contest, and that’s all- taking just 5.5 overs in the middle to score a remarkable knock - he also removed Kieron Pollard and Romario Shepherd when the two came out towards the late order to fire up the MI New York batting scorecard.

All that Pollard could do with the bat was score 3 off 7, while Shepherd could make just 2 runs off 5 deliveries. On the other hand, the main man for Washington Freedom, Rachin Ravindra emerged with figures of 2 spectacular wickets from just the 1 over he bowled in which he conceded no more than 6 runs.

This was game #29 of 34 in the ongoing Major League Cricket, 2026 edition and has seen some amazing stats from teams like New Zealand such as Finn Allen and South Africa, Faf du Plessis, Lhu-Andre Pretorius lighting up the tournament with amazing performances.

But what perhaps stands out the most where it comes to the performance of Rachin Ravindra is the very fact that he only recently appeared or arrived for his Washington Freedom side, hitting the United States just last week. And here he is, doing all sorts of impressive things with the bat and ball that are unfurling head turning performances.

In reply to MI New York’s 187 run total, the Washington Freedom side were able to chase down the huge total in just 18.3 overs. While Ravindra fired 60 of those runs on his own courtesy 2 sixes and 5 boundaries, South African cricketer Andries-Gous made 96 runs on his own.
