Indian star batter Rohit Sharma arrived at Lucknow along with the Indian side ahead of the 2nd ODI against Afghanistan and he was seen to be playfully teasing the fans from the bus. Rohit Sharma made gestures suggesting that he would hit them in a fun manner and it was all taken in good mood by the fans. The video went viral on social media platforms and it came as no surprise as Rohit Sharma is known for his witty humour sense on the field and off the field as well. He will be looking to score some important runs in the second game of the series after a disappointing run-out in the first game.

Rohit Sharma will be keen on regaining his form as he has suffered quite a few injuries recently and he hasn’t found his batting rhythm yet. His dismissal in the first game of the series was quite unfortunate as there was a mixup with Shubman Gill and Rohit found himself run-out. With India preparing for the 2027 ICC ODI World Cup, India will be monitoring the performance of Rohit as they already mentioned that the veterans wouldn’t make the cut with just reputation. This series will be an important one for Rohit Sharma as he will need to have some runs under his belt to show.

India look to seal series against Afghanistan in 2nd ODI

The second match of the ODI series between India and Afghanistan will be played at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. The second ODI wouldn’t have any rain interruption as per the weather forecast and the viewers can expect a full 50-over per side game tomorrow. Shubman Gill and his men will be looking to secure the series win with one more victory to their name. With the kind of form that India has been displaying in the format in the last couple of games, a victory seems almost inevitable for the side. 

India took the lead in the ODI series against Afghanistan with a commanding victory in the first game as skipper Gill led the charge. The game was interrupted by rain and it was cut to a 25-over per side game. It was a brilliant performance from both the batting and bowling unit of the team as they gave no margin for error. 

The debutant Gurnoor Brar was impressive with his consistent pace and hard-hitting lengths. The team was bothered by quite a few injury concerns with key names like Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya missing the cut. But that did not reflect on their performance as they ticked every box in the opening game in the HPCA Stadium, Chelian.

As India will be hoping to close in on yet another ODI series victory, Afghanistan will be looking to level the series to outclass the hosts.
