The Indian team had not so good start against the Netherlands in the last league match of the T20 World Cup 2026 before they move to the Super 8 of the tournament. India lost Abhishek Sharma for a 4-ball duck, Ishan Kishan was dismissed for a soft dismissal and then Tilak Varma for a stupendous catch. At that time, India needed a batter who can anchor and take the innings forward. Between Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube, captain Suryakumar Yadav chose Shivam Dube to bat ahead of Hardik Pandya.

And guess what? - Shivam Dube once again delivered for his captain. Shivam Dube not only anchored the innings, but struck the ball at 200, smashing his 50 in just 25 deliveries.

Overall in his innings against Netherlands, Shivam Dube smashed six maximums and four boundaries, scoring 66 off 31 balls. Shivam was well supported by his counterpart Hardik Pandya.

For Super 8, India has West Indies, South Africa and Zimbabwe in their group. The Super 8 campaign for India will start on 22nd February against South Africa.
