R Sai Kishore was dismissed for a duck by Ben Stokes but got his revenge back. The spinner bowled an unplayable ball to Former England captain to knock him over for 45 on the second day of Gloucestershire’s County Championship Division Two clash against Durham at the Riverside Ground on August 28. The left arm spinner got the ball to drift in before it gripped and turned just enough, sneaking through the gap between bat and pad and crashing into the off stump. Stokes could only throw his bat into the air in frustration as he walked back after being dismissed. The wicket came in the 39th over of Durham’s first innings with the hosts beginning to build a strong lead after Gloucestershire had been bowled out for 137.
There was a little extra context to the dismissal. Stokes had dismissed Sai Kishore for a duck during Gloucestershire’s first innings a day earlier. The Indian spinner got his chance to respond and did so in excellent fashion. Gloucestershire posted the video on social media with the caption “Sai Kishore. ladies and gentlemen! Ben Stokes is bowled, and there isn’t a lot you can do about deliveries like that!” This video has gone viral on social media with fans praising the talented left arm spinner. After getting dismissed, Stokes looked furious with himself.
Durham dominate as David Bedingham hits fifth century of the season against Gloucestershire
Durham won the toss and opted to bowl first on a green surface which had plenty of help for pacers. Gloucestershire struggled to put together a good total. Kasey Aldridge did most of the damage as he picked up a career-best 5 for 16 from just five overs. James Bracey fought his way to 60 but wickets continued to fall around him. Stokes picked up the wicket of Sai Kishore for a three-ball duck while England pacer Brydon Carse who was released from the national team also picked up a few wickets early on as Gloucestershire were bowled out for 137 in 42 overs.

Durham's batter struggled as the hosts were reduced to 16 for 2. David Bedingham and Stokes put together a 94-run partnership to recover the innings. Bedingham went on to score 122 which was his fifth century of the season while Stokes looked fluent during his 45 off 43 balls, hitting seven fours and a six. His innings ended when Sai Kishore produced a peach. The spinner struck again to remove Colin Ackermann for 38 as Gloucestershire continued to pick wickets. By the end of the second day, Durham had reached 331 for 8, giving them a 194-run first-innings lead. Rain interruptions meant that there was an early end to the lead.
