Charaideo Sunrisers skipper Sumit Ghadigaonkar recorded a powerful fifty to guide the side to a seven-wicket win in the Assam Premier League 2026. On Thursday, August 13, the Sunrisers locked horns with the Jorhat Stallions in the 25th league stage game of the tournament at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Both teams headed into the game with the aim of overturning their last defeats, and wanted to add one more win in their tally.

The game saw Sunrisers skipper Sumit Ghadigaonkar win the toss and invite the rivals to put the score on the board first. While the Stallions hoped to take control of the game in the first innings, a solid performance by the rival bowlers put an early end to their dreams. Reshab Dipak picked four wickets, Dibakar Johri scalped two wickets while Himanshu Saraswat and Abhishek Kumar Singh got one success each. Nevertheless, Stallions skipper Swarupam Purkayastha tried to give the team stability, but even he could manage to put up 28 runs in the below-par total of 128/8.
