Indian T20 World Cup winning captain Suryakumar Yadav who was not picked in the Indian team for England and Ireland has made a statement in T20 Mumbai League. Suryakumar Yadav who is playing for the Triumph Knights smashed an unbeaten half-century as he helped his side get their first win of the season. Suryakumar Yadav had a lean run in the T20 World Cup and also in the IPL which led to him being removed from the team and replaced as captain.

Suryakumar Yadav led India to a T20 World Cup win but his own form was not good and, in the IPL, he struggled a lot for Mumbai Indians. The Indian selection panel led by Ajith Agarkar said that all these things were taken into consideration while picking the squad for the upcoming Indian tour. Suryakumar Yadav has made back-to-back half centuries in the T20 Mumbai and he will be keen to put in the performances and prove a point.

Suryakumar Yadav smashed 72 runs from just 36 balls to help his side get over the line and he was declared as the player of the match. In the post-match presentation, Suryakumar Yadav gave away his player of the match award to Sylveseter Dsouza who picked up five wickets with the ball. This gesture caught eye balls and it was truly a heart-warming gesture from the former Indian captain.

Just a day back Suryakumar Yadav was not named in either of the squads. India have moved on from Suryakumar Yadav in the shortest format but with knocks like these he is making a statement and will be a huge boost for Mumbai Indians in the upcoming season where he will be keen to make a point and force his way back in the team.
