We have seen quite a few shocking and unexpected results being unfolded at the T20 World Cup. the latest one being New Zealand’s perfect victory against the UAE in their second group stage fixture of the competition. The Black Caps ran riot against the side from the Middle East and sent a message of intent across the tournament about what they bring to the table this year.

Winning a game without losing a single wicket is a very special milestone for any team because it takes a lot from the openers to stand their ground until the target is reached. Not many teams have managed to achieve this feat in World cricket till date. On that note, let us take a look at the teams that have won a T20 World Cup game without losing a wicket.

1. South Africa v Zimbabwe (2012)

South Africa became the first team to get their name etched into history by winning a T20 World Cup game with ten wickets in hand. Their win came during the 2012 T20 World Cup against Zimbabwe who were invited to bat first. Zimbabwe set up a total of just 93/8 at the end of the first 20 overs. South Africa took just 12.4 overs to chase it down and became the first team to win a World Cup fixture without losing a wicket.

2. India v Pakistan (2021)

The second instance came nine years later in Dubai when an out of form Indian side locked horns with their fierceful neighbours Pakistan. Babar Azam won the toss and invited India to bat first. The men in blue looked out of sync and became the victim of Pakistan’s extraordinary bowling. Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant somehow took India to a respectable total, but Muhammad Rizwan and Babar Azam completed the chase in the 18th over.

3. England v India (2022)

One year later, India were again on the receiving end of a shambolic defeat, this time by the hands of England. After a huge win over Pakistan, India booked a meeting with England in the final four. After being asked to set up a target in the first innings, India managed to reach 168/8 in 120 balls. Jos Buttler and Alex Hales came out for England and finished the game in just 16 overs to take England to the final.

4. New Zealand v UAE (2026)

New Zealand became the latest nation to have picked up a 10 wicket victory at the T20 World Cup. The Black Caps sidelined the UAE in their second group stage fixture and secured a comfortable win. The UAE set up a total 173/6 in 20 overs before Tim Seifert and Finn Allen came out all guns blazing and finished the match with 28 balls to spare.
