Mumbai Indians legend Kieron Pollard has been named as the coach of MI London for the upcoming season of THE Hundred 2026. The West Indian has played in the Hundred before featuring for the London Spirit in 2022 and for Southern Brave in 2024. Pollard returns to the league in 2026 but in a different role. Apart from the IPL, Pollard has played multiple leagues across the world with Mumbai Franchise . In Major League Cricket (MI New York), ILT20 (MI Emirates), SA20 (MI Cape Town), and CLT20 (MI). Pollard has also played a vital role in the opening of an MI cricket academy in Trinidad and Tobago.
“I am honoured to take on the role of Head Coach with MI London. Having played in The Hundred and for Surrey, I’ve seen first-hand the strong alignment between Surrey’s cricketing culture and the Mumbai Indians’ winning ethos. This is an exciting opportunity to build a strong team, create a high-performance culture, and work towards sustained success in the seasons ahead,” Pollard said in a statement released by MI London.
Kieron Pollard made his debut for Mumbai back in 2010. In the 13 years playing in the IPL, he helped win five IPL. He also captained MI New York to the first-ever Major League Cricket title in 2023. A year later, he led MI Emirates to a win in the ILT20. Additionally he has also been working in the coach setup of Mumbai Indians in IPL since last year.
While Mumbai Indians women’s head coach in the Women’s Premier League, Lisa Keightley, has been named the head coach of MI London Women. She will be handling the MI London Women team in the upcoming year as they look to go all the way.
