Fans were frustrated after RR’s batting, when the top and middle order collapsed. The normal picture where RR generally makes a huge score close to 90 in powerplay generally they were seen struggling today just like in their last match against KKR. They were 47/3 after powerplay after Yshasvi Jaiswal (22), Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (8) an Dhruv Jurel (0) there most trusted top order departed early. Thanks to Jadeja who played a responsible innings to at least take RR to 159 runs on board.

RR’s bowling has made a name of their own in this tournament- the likes of Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger with new ball and then Brijesh Sharma, Ravi Bishnoi and Ravindra Jadeja are not be taken lightly. And they exactly did that. Only Mitchel Marsh was effective for LSG but Ayush Badoni, Rishabh Pant and Markram all went out for a duck leaving LSG in grave danger at 11/3. Even Nicholas Pooran departed early after being dismissed by Jadeja and their star batsman Mukul Chowdhury too fell prey to Brijesh Sharma. LSG were 119 all out and RR won by 40 runs.

Twitter RR fans had some sigh of relief on this bowling performance and were seen appreciating the top effort from bowlers at least today.

Twitter was criticising Captain Parag for his irresponsible batting but they are seen to appreciate his captaincy now:

Rajasthan Royals makes a comeback on the second spot in points table

RR’s batting order was exposed by SRH and currently KKR. They were not seen comfortably scoring a 200+ as they were with the start of the tournament. Even their middle order with Hetmyer, Out of form Parag is exposed but they do have a strong bowling lineup that never disappoints. Ekana Stadium has been always a chasing venue but the bowlers proved it wrong as Jofra Archer, Brijesh Sharma, and Nandre Burger tore apart the LSG batting lineup. Jofra fumbled at the beginning, but with his extra pace, he nailed it again today. It was all a runout that started the collapse for LSG, then Pant left on a duck.

Pooran and Marsh tried rebuilding the innings on this tricky red soil pitch, but Jadeja broke the partnership, opening the floodgates. Mukul too showed no spark as wickets started tumbling, which took LSG out for 119 and made RR win by 40 runs.

This has gotta be a huge boost in RR camp’s confidence after a break in their winning ways and crack in paradise since the last few games. RR will look into working out their paradise batting lineup as it is exposed at this time, and they don’t want to lose the top 4 spot.
