The Rajasthan Royals opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was in tears after being dismissed for 97 and he missed out on a very well deserved century. The SRH players appreciated the teenager for his phenomenal efforts and everybody in the stands rose to applaud one of the greatest knocks in TATA IPL Playoffs. He has also overtaken the Universe Boss, Chris Gayle in hitting the most number of sixes in the IPL with 61 sixes to his name. This has been some brilliant shot-making from the teenager in the powerplay and all the bowlers are just struggling to contain the flow of runs. Pat Cummins seemed to have a plan in the first couple of balls but it lasted for a very short period as Sooryavanshi began his carnage against SRH.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has given the Rajasthan Royals a dominant start to the innings and he has laid the foundation along with Yashasvi Jaiswal for a mammoth total. The youngster seems to have shown no fear despite playing his first game in the TATA IPL Playoffs. The word ‘pressure’ doesn’t seem to be in his dictionary as he is playing like a seasoned veteran who knows exactly what to do in different phases of the game. He has done all the possible damage he could do and now the rest would depend on the rest of the batting unit.

RR’s batting carnage leaves SRH shattered in first 10 overs

This game has gone exactly the way that the Rajasthan Royals wanted as they wanted Vaibhav to go big and he has delivered for his side in the Eliminator 1. Pat Cummins began with the yorker length balls and Sooryavanshi wasn’t able to attack him from the first ball. Rather, he took Cummins on in the next over and he just smashed the bowler for 3 sixes on the trot. None of the bowlers have been able to control the hemorrhage of runs except Praful Hinge as he did bowl a fine over to end the powerplay. The assault of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was simply unbelievable in the initial overs and it will be a very difficult way back for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

There still is a huge amount of batting to come down the order for the Rajasthan Royals and to restrict them to a total below 250 would be a task for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. The bowling side will be down and out of the game as they simply wouldn’t know how to claw back from here. The Royals are running away with the game at the moment and they will be confident that they can get through to the next game against the Gujarat Titans. Sunrisers Hyderabad do have more than enough batting to chase down such a huge total but there will be doubts if they can pull it off under such immense pressure.
