15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi reached another 15-ball fifty for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) during their high-stakes IPL clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The teenage phenom's explosive start has completely dismantled the SRH bowling attack in the Powerplay at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. This is his third 15-ball fifty of the 2026 season, equalling the joint third-fastest fifty in IPL history. Sooryavanshi's innings was almost exclusively built on maximums, showing a complete lack of respect for the SRH pace attack.

Facing Praful Hinge (who took 4 wickets against RR last time), Vaibhav smashed four consecutive sixes. He used his signature "clear the front leg" technique to launch Hinge over deep backward square and mid-off. When SRH skipper Pat Cummins introduced himself to regain control, Sooryavanshi greeted him with a massive pull over square leg for six, racing to 30 runs off just 6 balls. He reached his 15-ball fifty with a flick over mid-wicket, equalling his own record for the joint third-fastest fifty in IPL history. Sooryavanshi's blitz propelled Rajasthan Royals to 76/1 in just 6 overs during the Powerplay. This aggressive start has put SRH on the defensive, especially after they chose to bowl first hoping to exploit early moisture.

The innings has also seen him reclaim the Orange Cap, as he became the fastest player in history to surpass 500 IPL runs (achieved in just 237 career balls).
