Vaibhav Sooryavanshi becomes youngest player to complete 1000 runs in T20
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi became the youngest player to reach 1,000 runs in T20 cricket on April 25, 2026, at just 15 years and 29 days old. He achieved this milestone while playing for the Rajasthan Royals against Sunrisers Hyderabad during the 2026 IPL season. While he reached the 1,000-run mark in overall T20S during an IPL match, his total IPL-specific runs stood at 609 following that game.
He reached the mark in only 473 balls, breaking the previous record of 533 balls held by Mitchell Owen. He is the only player to maintain a 200+ career strike rate (over 212) while crossing the 1,000-run T20 threshold. Sooryavanshi also scored his third fastest half-century against SRH in the clash last night.
