Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is quickly making six-hitting look like second-nature, as the teenage sensation showcased his fearless style once again during India A's Tri-Nation Series match against Sri Lanka A in Dambulla. Fresh off a record-breaking IPL 2026 season, the 15-year-old left-handed opener wasted no time, attacking from the very first ball and making boundaries seem effortless. He raced to 21 runs off just 14 balls, with three fours and a six to his name.
His first boundary came from a deft glance to fine leg off Chamika Gunasekara, and then he launched a clean six straight down the ground by stepping into the line. Following that, he delivered a powerful flick through mid-wicket and another crisp shot on the off side, putting Sri Lanka A on the back foot right away.
Sensing the threat, Sri Lanka A captain Sahan Arachchige brought himself into the attack and made an immediate impact. The off-spinner lured Sooryavanshi with a well-tossed delivery, and the young talent went for another aggressive shot over the covers. However, the ball turned just enough to cause a miscue, and Wanuja Sahan was there to take the catch at point. Even though his innings lasted only 14 balls, it once again showcased the aggressive flair that Sooryavanshi possesses.
