Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has finally spoken up after making history for India, expressing his commitment to "always try to give my best" whenever he dons the national colors. At just 15 years and 99 days old, he became the youngest player to ever debut for India's men's international team during the second T20I against England at Old Trafford.

Following this incredible milestone, Sooryavanshi took a moment to thank everyone who has supported him along the way, sharing that wearing the India jersey is a source of immense pride. His words were filled with gratitude, humility, and a strong desire to contribute to the national team in the future.

After the match, Sooryavanshi posted an Instagram story expressing his appreciation for fans, teammates, and senior players, as he said, “Overwhelmed by all the messages. Thank you to everyone of my well-wishers and seniors for your constant love and support. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to represent my country, and I’ll always try to give my best for my team every single time. Thank you for everything, everyone.”

He made an immediate impact in his debut by hitting Jofra Archer for a six on his very first scoring shot in international cricket. The young opener finished with 14 runs off 10 balls, including two sixes, before being stumped by Will Jacks.

A Historic Dream Fulfilled With Family Support

The historic debut was a deeply emotional moment for Sooryavanshi and his family. Just before the match commenced, Tilak Varma handed him his India cap, reminding him that he had earned this honor through sheer talent and determination.

Tilak encouraged the young player to embrace fearless cricket, stay true to his natural style, and make every Indian proud. This heartfelt message highlighted the faith the team management had in the teenage batter.

After receiving his cap, Sooryavanshi shared that representing India had always been his ultimate dream. He called the occasion one of the proudest moments of his life and revealed that the first person he told about his selection was his father, who was right there with him.

His father simply advised him to keep playing as he always had, without letting any pressure get to him. Sooryavanshi also expressed gratitude for his mother and all those who had supported him along the way, acknowledging that their encouragement had been crucial in helping him reach this milestone.

Even though it was a memorable debut, India couldn't clinch the victory. Batting first, India set a target of 190/7 in 20 overs. England successfully chased it down with four wickets in hand and one over to spare, leveling the series. Jacob Bethell was the star of the chase, scoring an impressive unbeaten 76 off 46 balls, while Harry Brook and Tom Banton both contributed quick 39s. Despite the outcome not favoring India, Sooryavanshi's record-breaking debut and his calm demeanor after the match kept him in the spotlight as the biggest talking point.
