A video has gone viral on Instagram from the Arun Jaitley Stadium during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 between the Netherlands and Namibia match. There has been huge outrage on social media regarding this incident. The clip showed leftover soft drinks from cups being poured back into a larger bottle inside Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. The viral video showed a vendor from beverage stall stationed inside the stadium collecting the left over beverage and pouring it in soft drink bottle. A few of the users claimed that it would be used for the next match.

This video has sparked a huge online outrage as this is a public health nightmare and hygiene issue. Some of the users felt there should be a huge fine and the licence should be cancelled and that is the only solution. India are currently playing Namibia and the match is at Arun Jaitley Stadium. This video went viral earlier today and now plenty of fans in the stadium would be worried to buy things from the vendors. It is an unfortunate incident and there has been no official statement or response from DDCA officials regarding this.

Some of the users said that it could be left over and he is collecting it in the bottle for discarding it easily while others pointed that it was packed perfectly and there were not any straws and that these could be resold. If this is the case it puts a huge risk for others.

There have been plenty of concerns that public has put out on social media regarding various stadiums and how the fans are not treated well. This incident especially during the ongoing global tournament like the WT20 would dent the public perspective and confidence.

Many people have found the video gross and unhygienic. This incident took place after the conclusion of the Namibia vs Netherlands match which was played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The video has also gone viral on twitter and other social media platforms and the fans are criticizing the overall hygiene and other minor issues which should have been taken care of. Delhi is set to host a few more matches in this WT20 and fans will hope this issue is not repeated.
