In the clash of the arch rivals, it was India who were put into bat first by Pakistan and things did not go as planned for the Men in Blue. They lost the big wicket of Abhishek Sharma in the first over. It was Pakistan captain Salman Agha who took the ball and dismissed the Indian batter for a four-ball duck. India were in trouble with the score of 1/1 at the end of the first over. But that wicket did not keep the Indian batters quite as just in the next over Ishan Kishan started his innings in style as he greeted Shaheen Shah Afridi with a six to get things started. The left-hander who has been in sublime form showed no respect to the premium Pakistan pacer as he took 15 runs of the first over. Watch his six against Shaheen Afridi here.

Ishan Kishan scored a terrific half century as he took the game away from Pakistan in single handedly. Tilak Varma did not get much of the strike at the other end, but Ishan Kishan took on the bowlers and punished them. Kishan also got a hamstring injury at the end of the Shadab Khan over but continued batting and scored 77 runs of just 40 balls. Watch his half century here. His knock had ten fours and three sixes and he punished all the bowlers.

India lost the second wicket at 88 and an excellent partnership from Kishan and Tilak came to an end. Saim Ayub got the wicket of Ishan Kishan and it is safe to say Kishan has put India on top after losing the early wicket.
India and Pakistan are in Group A and this is a crucial match for both these sides. Currently both sides have won 2 games and are unbeaten in this Group. They are comfortably placed but a loss here for Pakistan will mean that USA will still have a chance to qualify depending on NRR if Pakistan also lose to Namibia. India are right on top at the end of halfway mark at 92/2.
