There may not be too many amazing moments out there for the English cricket team especially in the current context of the T20 World Cup 2026 but there’s certainly something that Jos Buttler can be proud of. And ditto for his English cricket team including former team member Kevin Pietersen. So what has happened that’s creating much buzz for Jos Buttler, a cricketer dotingly admired as “the boss!” Let’s find out.
Apparently, Jos Buttler took what is called - the world’s highest catch- with Kevin Pietersen in attendance. The famous right handed batter, of course, took the catch with Pietersen in attendance.

The red cricket ball, as seen in the video, was dropped by actually a flying drone from a huge distance above the ground with the Englishman in the wicket keeping gloves waiting in eager anticipation.
On the other end, his English teammate Pietersen is seen cheerful and egging on Jos Buttler.
Eventually, Buttler completed the brilliant catch to set a proper world record. A commendable feat in skill and sheer effort. Way to go. What a moment that is. Taking a catch from 400 feet above the ground when several cricketers, on some instances, drop sitters.
In a game of big run scoring and key wicket taking, Jos Buttler’s feat reminds one of the importance of key skills such as fielding, synonymous with focus and dexterity.
