The LA Knight Riders are one of the 6 teams currently contesting in the brand new season of the Major League Cricket aka the MLC, one of the most prominent and recognisable franchise based T20 competitions in the world and certainly the most famous premier franchise league events in all of the United States. It’s success is down to the fact that not only do a vast majority if American talents participate in the event but world famous and preeminent talents that have already cut their teeth at the international level and with established success compete for glory to further push the envelope of the game in America.

And recently the LA Knight Riders got the pleasure of hosting a traditional Indian Hindu Puja function at their brand new cricketing facility or ground that’s called the Knight Riders Cricket Ground (also called Knight Riders Cricket Field) at Fairplex in Pomona, in California. The culture of cricket is persistently rising in America and California alongside New York and Texas happen to be some of the more known destinations for pushing the game’s cause across the Uniter States.

Now here’s more about the brand new facility- the said cricket ground happens to be a new dedicated home venue for the popular Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR) in Major League Cricket (MLC). It opened for the 2026 season as a first, with the team’s first home matches starting around July 1, 2026 (e.g., against Washington Freedom)

Location: Fairplex (Pomona Fairgrounds), Pomona, California — about 30 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. It’s the first cricket-specific stadium built and owned by an MLC franchise (Knight Riders Group)

The team is owned by the Knight Riders Group, which happens to be a sporting subsidiary that is an alliance between Red Chillies Entertainment (associated with mega actor Shah Rukh Khan) and the Mehta Group.
