A sweet moment took place right before the start of the South African chase in the second ODI at Raipur. Rishabh Pant who was not part of the team had walked up to Rohit Sharma near the boundary as he spotted an eyelash on Rohit's face and he gently removed the eyelash, placing it on the back of his hand and asking him to make a wish. Rohit smiled, closed his eyes, and completed the little ritual. It was a brief but wholesome exchange that quickly caught the attention of cameras and fans. This clip went viral on social media and lot of positive comments started to pour in as fans found it very special and a cute gesture between the two players.

During the innings break, Rohit Sharma who was recently named ambassador for the 2026 T20 World Cup, joined BCCI officials and Tilak Varma to unveil India’s new T20I jersey. The fresh design features a dark blue base with bright orange tri colour theme.
India suffered a defeat in the second ODI as South Africa chased down a record target of 358 with four wickets spare. The series is level at 1-1 and the series decider will be played on December 6.
