The IPL 2024 auction list saw a total of 333 players register themselves, which is set to take place in Dubai on 19th December. Out of those 333 names, the list also comprises of many senior names like Tim Southee, Umesh Yadav, Adil Rashid, etc., but here in this article, we will have a look at top five names who are the oldest to take part in IPL 2024 auction.
1. Mohammad Nabi
The all-rounder from Afghanistan, who was born on 1 January 1985, is the oldest player in IPL 2024 auction. He will be 39 years of age if he gets a chance to play for any of the franchise in IPL 2024.
Mohammad Nabi has played 17 games for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL from 2017-2021. He has registered himself for the base price of INR 1.5 Crore in the auction table.

2. David Wiese
David Wiese played a pivotal role for Namibia in 2021 T20 World Cup by scoring 227 runs from 8 innings and picked 6 wickets with the ball. Wiese has registered himself for a base price of INR 1 Crore under Associate Nations category.
David Wiese, born on 18 May 1995, was released by KKR (played 3 games in 2023 IPL) ahead of the IPL 2024 auctions.

3. Jalaj Saxena
The uncapped Indian player Jalaj Saxena, born on 15 December 1986, is the third oldest player to go under the hammer in upcoming IPL 2024 auction.
37-year-old Jalaj Saxena has played only one match in IPL for PBKS in 2021 and he has registered himself for a base price of INR 40 Lakh in the IPL 2024 auction.

4. Tanmay Mishra
Tanmay Mishra is also another uncapped Indian player who was born on 22 December 1986. However, he will turn 37 in a week’s time, becoming the fourth oldest player in IPL 2024 auction.
Tanmay Mishra despite playing 42 ODIs and 15 T20Is for Kenya, has registered himself in the uncapped Indian player category. Notably, he has also played only one match in IPL, that came in 2012 for Deccan Chargers.
Mishra has registered himself at a lowest base price of INR 20 Lakh in the IPL 2024 auction.

5. Ben Cutting
The Australian all-rounder was last seen playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2019 and after that he never featured in any of the IPL games. He has registered himself for a base price of INR 50 Lakh in IPL 2024 auctions.
Ben Cutting, born on 30 January 1987, has represented three different IPL franchises in five different seasons.
