Vaibhav Sooryavanshi hit a remarkable milestone on July 4, 2026, when the 15-year-old stepped onto the field for India in the second T20I against England at Old Trafford, Manchester, turning a childhood dream into a stunning reality. The young batter from Bihar made history as India's youngest-ever international cricketer at just 15 years and 99 days, shattering Sachin Tendulkar's long-held record. His selection followed an impressive IPL 2026 season, which secured him a spot in India's squads for the UK tour and the Asian Games. This debut also placed him among the youngest international cricketers from Full Member nations, adding yet another exciting chapter to the annals of cricket history.

Sooryavanshi made a splash right from the start, even with a brief appearance. Opening the innings, he racked up 14 runs off 10 balls, including two spectacular sixes, one against Jofra Archer and the other off Josh Tongue. His innings came to an end when he was stumped by Jos Buttler off Will Jacks, but his bold style certainly turned heads and left a lasting impression.
