Tanya Chatterjee showed a text to the paparazzi claiming that Yuzvendra Chahal sent her a text calling the influencer “cute”. This is the second incident involving Yuzvendra Chahal that has happened in recent times. Earlier, Chahal faced public outlash after he was seen to be smoking and disposing of a cigarette on the road, while driving his Porsche.
The Punjab Kings bowler has been subject to negative criticism over the past weeks. He has been bowling well for his franchise in the IPL. Punjab Kings will be hopeful that the form of Chahal will not be affected by this as he is one of their key bowlers.

The Punjab Kings have plenty of positives to focus on as their batting unit has been at their absolute best. Cooper Connolly has been a fabulous new find for them as they have experimented with the Australian at No.3 and it has worked well. Shreyas Iyer, their skipper, has also been in superb form as he led the Punjab Kings to victory in their previous game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, their bowling unit has been arguably one of the talking points of the side, as their pacers have been inconsistent.

Yuzvendra Chahal has been the only spinner that the Punjab Kings have played this season and it has worked out well for them as well. Their pace bowling unit has been inconsistent by far as Arshdeep has only picked 2 wickets in the season and has been really expensive. Marco Jansen and Xavier Bartlett have had their days with the ball but they haven’t been reliable. In the previous game, Shashank Singh was given the ball and he produced the much needed breakthrough.
