
Krafton India Esports has banned 3 teams and disqualified 15 after Round 2 of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2026. 3 Teams are banned for cheating under the rule of 2.1.5, while 15 teams are disqualified for the document submission failure under rule 6.3.12 in the BGIS 2026 rulebook.
Krafton Bans 3 Teams, Disqualifies 15 in BGIS 2026
On Wednesday, Krafton India Esports announced the disqualification of 15 teams and banned 3 teams from Round 2 for violating the tournament rules, and banned 3 teams for violating the tournament rules. Krafton Said, “Following a review, the listed teams have been disqualified from Round 2 of BGIS 2026 for violations of tournament rules 6.2.2, 2.1.5, and 6.3.12. These actions have been taken in accordance with the tournament regulations to uphold competitive integrity.”

RULES Broken by these teams
RULE 2.1.5
Single Team Exclusivity – A Team Member is only allowed to compete or work for the one Team with which they have an agreement with. Additionally, a Team Member may only have an agreement with one Team. A Team Member will not be allowed to compete for more than one Team simultaneously and therefore cannot be listed on the roster of more than one Team.
RULE 6.2.2
Cheating – Cheating is prohibited. Any modification of the BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA game client by any player, Team or other Team Member is prohibited. The use of any kind of cheating hardware, device or cheat program, or any similar cheating method such as signaling devices, and hand signals, etc., shall be deemed cheating. Downloading any cheat program to the device used for an official competition match is strictly prohibited. Intentionally playing with another player on public match for two or more matches within 72 hours while having knowledge of the other player is using a cheating device or cheat program, or any similar cheating method is prohibited as well.

RULE 6.3.12
Document Submission – Tax forms, registration forms, parental consents and other documentation may be required at various times by the Tournament Organizer. A Team Member violates these General Rules if he or she knowingly provides false or inaccurate information to KRAFTON or the Tournament Organizer. A Team may be subject to sanctions if the documentation is not completed to the standards set by the Tournament Organizer.
